Veteran Nollywood actor, Nkem Owoh, popularly known as Osuofia, is celebrating his 70th birthday today, and fans across social media are honoring the comic legend with heartfelt tributes and throwback movie clips.
The award-winning actor kicked off the celebration with a post on Instagram, expressing gratitude for the milestone.
"Chi Efogo, and it is my 70th birthday. What else can I say? To God be all the glory. Special thanks to you all for being part of this journey. I love you all," he wrote.

Nkem Owoh, who won the Africa Movie Academy Award (AMAA) for Best Actor in 2008 for his role in Stronger Than Pain, is renowned for his unforgettable performances in Nollywood classics like Osuofia in London. In 2017, he received the AMAA Lifetime Achievement Award, cementing his legacy in African cinema.
Born on February 7, 1955, in Udi, Enugu State, Owoh studied Engineering at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, before making his mark in Nollywood as one of Nigeria’s most celebrated actors and entertainers.
