In 2017, he received the AMAA Lifetime Achievement Award, cementing his legacy in African cinema.

Born on February 7, 1955, in Udi, Enugu State, Owoh studied Engineering at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, before making his mark in Nollywood as one of Nigeria’s most celebrated actors and entertainers.
