2027: TURNOUT AT KADUNA RALLY SHOWS NORTH’S SUPPORT FOR TINUBU — GROUP
Arewa for Asiwaju has described the turnout at President Bola Tinubu’s campaign launch in Kaduna as a sign of support for his re-election bid across northern Nigeria.
The group’s Director-General, former Defence Minister Badaru Abubakar, said its mobilisation exceeded the target set before Saturday’s event.
Ahead of the rally, the movement had announced plans to bring 10,000 supporters from the 19 northern states and the Federal Capital Territory.
Badaru praised coordinators and grassroots teams for organising participants and thanked supporters who travelled to Kaduna.
He said the response demonstrated the movement’s ability to coordinate its structures across the region and work towards a shared political goal.
The group pledged to continue community engagement beyond the campaign launch, expand its presence and mobilise voters for Tinubu ahead of the 2027 election.
Its assessment reflects the position of a movement backing the President. No independently verified attendance figure was provided in the report, and rally turnout alone does not establish how the wider northern electorate will vote.
