Veteran Nigerian musician Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has described Burna Boy as the foremost Afrobeats artiste on the global stage.

He made the remark amid ongoing debates surrounding the ranking of Nigeria’s top music stars, often referred to as the industry’s “Big 3.”

The “Big 3” label is commonly used to describe Wizkid, Burna Boy, and Davido, widely regarded as Nigeria’s most influential musical exports worldwide.

Speaking during his recent appearance on the Mic On Podcast hosted by Seun Okinbaloye, 2Baba stated that Burna Boy currently stands above his peers in terms of global impact.

“I have favourite songs from all three,” he said. “But I think Burna is on a different level right now. In terms of musical influence and global reach, Burna Boy is currently at the top worldwide. That said, everyone is doing fantastically well.”
