2FACE IDIBIA’S FAMILY PETITIONS IGP, ACCUSES NATASHA OF ASSAULT, BIGAMY AND FINANCIAL MISCONDUCT
Fresh controversy has erupted around music icon 2Face Idibia as his family has officially petitioned the Inspector General of Police against his wife, Natasha Osawaru.
The petition, which surfaced online on Thursday, contains several serious allegations—including financial misappropriation, physical assault, bigamy, threats to life, and substance abuse.
Dated November 12, the Idibia family urged the Nigerian police to thoroughly investigate a series of incidents they claim have inflicted emotional distress, reputational damage, and financial loss on the singer.
According to the petition, 2Face reportedly informed his family—along with other witnesses—of multiple alleged assaults carried out in both Abuja and the UK. Natasha was also accused of making unauthorized transfers from the singer’s bank accounts.
Another claim detailed in the petition is that Natasha allegedly withheld 2Face’s international passport and other important documents, preventing him from traveling for business. The family says these actions have exposed the musician to embarrassment and potential financial setbacks.
The petition also raises concerns over the singer’s personal safety, noting that his emotional well-being appears to be at risk. Additionally, the family highlighted possible violations of marriage laws, pointing out that 2Face had not completed divorce proceedings with his estranged wife, Annie Macaulay Idibia, before Natasha allegedly presented herself as his new spouse.
One section of the petition reads:
“Substance abuse by Miss Natasha Irobasa Osawaru allegedly resulting in violent behavior, causing Mr. Innocent Ujah Idibia emotional distress and financial loss. More importantly, his personal safety and mental well-being appear to be at risk.”
The petition comes shortly after a dramatic Instagram livestream involving 2Face’s former managers, Kaka Igbokwe and Lori Tosan, who accused Natasha of attempting to take “full control” of the singer’s finances and career. The situation intensified when 2Face unexpectedly joined the live session, urging his managers to stop discussing his private life. Moments later, a physical altercation between him and Natasha caused the livestream to end abruptly.
In response to the unfolding situation, the singer’s younger brother, Hyacinth Idibia, appealed to him via Instagram, writing: “Allow us to save you.”
Amid the controversy, the Edo State House of Assembly has summoned Natasha Osawaru—who represents the Egor constituency—to appear before its committee over her viral conduct and the allegations circulating online.
The situation continues to develop as the public awaits official responses from the authorities and the parties involved.
