35-YEAR-OLD DLA CANDIDATE DECLARES AMBITION TO BECOME NIGERIA’S YOUNGEST PRESIDENT

A 35-year-old presidential candidate of the Democratic Liberty Alliance has expressed confidence in his ambition to become Nigeria’s youngest president in the 2027 general election.

The candidate, Moses Adebisi, is among the presidential candidates listed by the Independent National Electoral Commission for the forthcoming election. His ambition comes as younger Nigerians increasingly seek greater participation in the country’s political leadership.

Moses contesting under the platform of the Democratic Liberty Alliance, one of the political parties fielding candidates for the 2027 presidential election. He has presented himself as a representative of a younger generation seeking to take a more active role in shaping Nigeria’s political and economic future.

At 35, his candidacy places him among the youngest contenders in the presidential race. His declaration has also drawn attention to the constitutional requirement governing the minimum age for presidential candidates in Nigeria.

The 2027 election is expected to feature a wide range of candidates, including incumbent President Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar of the African Democratic Congress, former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi of the Nigeria Democratic Congress and other candidates from various political parties.

Memeh’s ambition comes against the backdrop of growing calls for greater youth representation in Nigerian politics.
