5 COUNTRIES OFFERING FIVE-YEAR MULTIPLE-ENTRY VISAS TO NIGERIANS
For Nigerian travellers who value convenience and flexibility, securing a five-year multiple-entry visa can make international travel significantly easier. These visas allow multiple visits to a country over five years, reducing the hassle of repeated applications.
Here are five countries that currently grant Nigerians five-year multiple-entry visas:
1. United States
Nigerian citizens can obtain the B1/B2 visa from the United States, which is valid for up to five years. This visa supports multiple entries for both business and tourism. Each visit typically allows a stay of up to six months, with final entry conditions determined by U.S. immigration officers at the point of entry.
2. Schengen Area
Nigerians with a proven history of travel and compliance may qualify for a five-year multiple-entry Schengen visa. This visa grants access to any of the 29 Schengen countries, provided the traveller stays no more than 90 days within any 180-day period. Previous possession of a multi-entry Schengen visa and adherence to visa rules usually increase eligibility.
3. South Africa
To strengthen ties with Nigeria, South Africa has introduced a five-year multiple-entry visa for eligible Nigerian tourists and business travellers. This initiative is part of a broader push to enhance economic collaboration between both countries. Impressively, the process has been made easier—qualified applicants can now apply without submitting their passports.
4. United Arab Emirates (UAE)
The UAE offers a five-year multiple-entry tourist visa to all nationalities, including Nigerians. Applicants must present a passport valid for at least six months, a recent passport photo, valid health insurance for the UAE, and a bank statement showing a minimum balance of $4,000 over the past six months. While the visa allows multiple entries, each visit must not exceed 90 days.
5. Kenya
Though Kenya typically issues short-term eVisas, it also provides long-term multiple-entry visas—up to five years—for applicants who can demonstrate valid reasons. These are often granted to frequent visitors, business professionals, or individuals with family or project engagements in the country. Applications can be submitted via the Kenyan eVisa portal or directly through immigration offices.
