The 2025 Tribeca Film Festival will premiere "Love Live Lagos," a documentary chronicling Wizkid's extraordinary journey from Nigerian music star to global Afrobeats icon.

This intimate portrait captures how the Grammy-winning artist became one of Africa's most influential cultural exports, featuring never-before-seen footage of his creative process and rise to international fame.

Scheduled for three special screenings during the festival on June 6, 7, and 11, the film includes revealing interviews with key figures in Wizkid's career.

Viewers will hear from legendary Afrobeat musician Femi Kuti, Wizkid's manager and partner Jada Pollock, long-time career architect Sunday Are, music journalist Julia Adenuga, and industry executive Seni Saraki, along with other close collaborators who helped shape his groundbreaking success.

The documentary promises to showcase how Wizkid's musical innovations opened doors for African artists worldwide, blending personal storytelling with the broader cultural impact of his work. Festival programmers describe it as both a celebration of African creativity and a study of global stardom in the digital age.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
