A lawmaker, Abejide, has emerged victorious in the All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Representatives primary in Kogi State after reportedly winning all 34 wards in the constituency.

The primary election, held ahead of the 2027 general elections, saw delegates across the wards cast their votes in what turned into a decisive and one-sided contest.

Abejide secured a clean sweep of the wards, a result that effectively handed him the party’s ticket for the upcoming legislative election.

Party officials described the exercise as peaceful, noting that the outcome reflected strong grassroots support for the candidate across the constituency.

Supporters of the winner celebrated the overwhelming victory, while APC stakeholders urged unity within the party as it prepares for the general elections.
