ABUJA'S INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE CENTRE RENAMED AFTER PRESIDENT TINUBU
The iconic International Conference Centre (ICC) in Abuja has been officially renamed the President Bola Tinubu International Conference Centre following its renovation.
President Bola Tinubu unveiled the renamed and refurbished facility on Tuesday during a commissioning ceremony attended by several top government officials, including Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, and Deputy Senate President Jibril Barau.
The extensive rehabilitation of the conference centre reportedly cost ₦39 billion. The centre had been closed for renovation since April 2024.
The event also featured moments of celebration, as FCT Minister Nyesom Wike was seen dancing during the ceremony.
This project is among several developments in the FCT scheduled to be inaugurated by President Tinubu in the lead-up to the 2025 Democracy Day celebration on June 12.
