ACAMB MARKS 30 YEARS OF SHAPING NIGERIA’S FINANCIAL SECTOR
The Association of Corporate Communication and Marketing Professionals in Banks (ACAMB) has marked three decades of contributing to the growth and transformation of Nigeria’s banking and financial sector.
The association recently hosted a Golf and Networking Experience at Ikoyi Club 1938 as part of activities commemorating its 30th anniversary. The event brought together senior banking executives, industry leaders, media partners, and other stakeholders.
ACAMB President, Jide Sipe, said corporate communication and marketing professionals had played an important role in transforming banking from a largely closed industry into one increasingly driven by transparency, digital engagement, and stronger customer relationships.
He noted that professionals in the field had evolved from traditional communication roles into strategic positions that influence brand perception, customer satisfaction, regulatory compliance, and business growth.
Sipe also highlighted the role of communication professionals in helping the public understand complex financial and monetary policies.
Speaking at the event, Ikoyi Club 1938 Deputy Chairman, Bolaji Martins, congratulated ACAMB on its anniversary and acknowledged its contribution to the development of Nigeria’s banking industry.
ACAMB said it would continue to promote professional excellence, innovation, collaboration, and stronger communication within the financial sector.
