ADAMAWA GOVERNOR IMPOSES IMMEDIATE CURFEW IN LAMURDE AMID RISING UNREST
Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri, has imposed a 24-hour curfew on Lamurde Local Government Area, effective immediately, in response to growing insecurity in the region.
The announcement was made in a statement released in Yola by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Humwashi Wonosikou, who explained that the measure was prompted by recent violent incidents and disturbances affecting several communities in the area.
“The state government considers the unrest unacceptable and has ordered security agencies to enforce the curfew without exception,” Wonosikou stated.
He also warned that anyone caught defying the curfew would face arrest and legal action.
Wonosikou reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to safeguarding lives and property and ensuring the continued safety of all residents in the state.
