“ADDRESS ME PROPERLY FROM NOW ON” — LIZZY ANJORIN TELLS CRITICS AS SHE RECEIVES SECOND DOCTORATE DEGREE
Nollywood actress Lizzy Anjorin has issued a bold public message after being awarded her second doctorate degree.
Sharing a photo of herself proudly holding the certificate, she announced that she has been honoured with a Doctorate in Business Administration.
Looking back on her journey, Lizzy spoke about rising from the difficult streets of Lagos with nothing but determination and faith. She recalled how many doubted her abilities, yet she responded with, “Watch me,” and today, those same critics are witnessing her achievements.
The outspoken actress stated that people may have their opinions about her, but from now on, they must address her correctly with her new academic title. She emphasized her transformation from sleeping under a bridge to walking across a graduation stage.
She wrote:
“Tonight, the gown speaks louder than every hater combined.
Another Doctorate added to the collection.
Doctorate in Business Administration — done.
Second Doctorate — done.
Still the same Lizzy who came from the trenches of Lagos with faith, fire, and focus.
They said I couldn’t. I said, ‘Watch me.’ Now they’re watching and swallowing every negative word they said.
Call me whatever you want, but from this moment, you WILL address me properly:
Dr. (Chief) Mrs. Ololajulo Elizabeth Anjorin-Lawal
Two doctorates. One name. No duplicates.
From sleeping under a bridge to standing in academic honour — this is what grace, hard work, and God look like.
I didn’t just break the ceiling; I built an entire university on it.
Lizzy Warriors, gather!
Tag someone who needs to be reminded that your story can still change, no matter where you begin.
This one loud!”
In recent months, several Nollywood stars have also been honoured with doctorate degrees.
Veteran actor Antar Olaniyan received a doctorate from a UK-based academy in recognition of his contributions to the creative industry.
Last year, actress Laide Bakare earned a Doctorate in Arts & Humanities from an American institution and announced that it was now official for people to address her as “Dr.”
Similarly, actress Anita Joseph obtained a Doctorate in Humanities and issued a public notice to that effect.
Controversial actress Nkechi Blessing also received a Doctorate in Real Estate Management and warned that she would not hesitate to take legal action against anyone who defames her following her new achievement.
