Nollywood actress Debbie Shokoya has shared her reaction to a viral video by socialite Yhemo Lee discussing hickeys.

A hickey, commonly referred to as a love bite, is a temporary bruise caused by sucking or biting the skin, usually around the neck. It occurs when small blood vessels beneath the skin are broken and is generally harmless, fading within a few days.

Debbie Shokoya Responds

In a video posted on Instagram, Yhemo Lee weighed in on the trend, noting that while modern youths enjoy exploring new experiences, they should exercise caution. He advised individuals to know their partners well before engaging in such acts, warning that some people may take things to unhealthy extremes due to underlying mental instability.

Sharing a personal anecdote, he claimed that a friend nearly suffered severe internal complications after such an experience, concluding with a cautionary note that “a word is enough for the wise.”

Reacting to his comments, Debbie Shokoya expressed confusion over the practice, stating that she could not relate to it. She humorously remarked that she had to look up the meaning online and questioned why couples would engage in such behavior after intimacy. According to her, the concept remains strange and unnecessary.

She also used the moment to promote her YouTube channel, teasing an upcoming movie project and encouraging fans to subscribe for updates.

Other Recent Updates

Recently, Debbie addressed speculation surrounding a car she posted on social media, clarifying that she does not own the vehicle but is involved in selling cars.

The actress has also spoken out against colleagues who allegedly misinformed producers about her availability following childbirth. She criticized attempts to sideline her career and questioned the motives behind such actions.

In addition, she has previously encouraged improvements in the Yoruba film industry, urging filmmakers to raise production standards and change negative perceptions about the genre.

Debbie has also shared glimpses of her personal life, expressing appreciation for her husband’s support. She described him as someone who believes in her dreams and consistently motivates her to pursue her ambitions.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
