Akor Adams ended a five-match goal drought but Sevilla were forced to settle for a 1-1 draw against Rayo Vallecano in their LaLiga clash at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán.

The Nigerian forward put Sevilla ahead in the 13th minute, heading home a fine cross delivered by César Azpilicueta.

However, Rayo Vallecano responded shortly after the restart, with Pacha Espino finding the equaliser five minutes into the second half.

Adams has now recorded seven goals and three assists in 22 league appearances for the Rojiblancos this season.

Despite the stalemate, Sevilla remain 13th in the LaLiga standings.

They will face a tough challenge in their next league fixture when they travel to take on table-toppers Barcelona.
