ALIA SENDS SIX COMMISSIONER NOMINEES TO BENUE ASSEMBLY
Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia, has sent the names of six commissioner nominees to the Benue State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation.
The governor forwarded the nominees as part of efforts to strengthen his cabinet and ensure that key areas of the state government have the necessary leadership.
The nominees are expected to appear before the lawmakers, who will examine their qualifications, experience and suitability for the positions.
If confirmed, the new commissioners will join the state executive council and take responsibility for various ministries assigned to them by the governor.
The development comes as the Alia administration continues to make changes within the state government and focus on delivering its programmes to residents.
The House of Assembly is expected to announce the screening process and dates for the nominees.
The confirmation will ultimately depend on the lawmakers after considering the nominees’ qualifications and responses during screening.
For Benue residents, the new appointments could be important as the commissioners will be expected to help implement government policies and address challenges in their respective sectors.
