Stakeholders and members of the business community at the 47th Kaduna International Trade Fair gained fresh insight into the Dangote Group’s long-term strategic direction, as company representative Fatima Wali Abdurrahman presented the ambitious Vision 2030 roadmap.
During the firm’s Special Day at the fair, which drew strong interest from industry players, entrepreneurs, and investors, Wali Abdurrahman highlighted plans to strengthen Nigeria’s industrial base and promote economic self-reliance through expanded local production and value addition.
A statement from the company on Monday said she explained that Vision 2030 is designed to position the conglomerate as a leading global manufacturing powerhouse, while advancing national economic development through job creation, technology adoption, and supply chain expansion.
Wali Abdurrahman emphasized that the group’s strategic investments across sectors such as cement, fertiliser, petrochemicals, energy, sugar, and salt aim to reduce Nigeria’s dependence on imports and bolster domestic manufacturing capacity. She noted that the roadmap aligns with ongoing economic reforms focused on stimulating industrial growth and enhancing competitiveness across industries.
She added that the company’s long-term vision prioritizes partnerships with small and medium-scale enterprises, distributors, and local suppliers, stressing that sustainable industrial development requires inclusive participation along the value chain.
“At the Dangote Group, local content development is not a slogan; it is the foundation of our business philosophy. We believe Nigeria’s prosperity must be built by Nigerians, using Nigerian resources, and for the benefit of Nigerian communities,” she said.
As part of activities marking its Special Day, the company also unveiled new 25kg and 100g sachet packs of Dangote Sugar at the trade fair.
In his remarks, Farouk Suleiman, President of the Kaduna Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture, described the Dangote Group as more than a corporate organisation, calling it a symbol of industrial excellence. He praised the partnership between KADCCIMA and the conglomerate, noting that its consistent support for the fair reflects confidence in trade exhibitions and business networking platforms.
The company’s Corporate Communications Department confirmed that several of its subsidiaries participated in the fair, including Dangote Cement, Dangote Sugar Refinery, NASCON Allied Industries, Dangote-Sinotruk, Dangote Peugeot Automobile, and Dangote Fertiliser. Each unit operated dedicated helpdesks to respond to inquiries from prospective customers and stakeholders during the exhibition.
