APC FIRST-TERM GOVERNORS BACK TINUBU’S RE-ELECTION BID

Governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who are serving their first term have unanimously endorsed President Bola Tinubu for a second term in office.

The endorsement was made at the end of a meeting of the Progressive Governors Forum held in Kebbi State, where the governors declared their full support for the continuation of the Renewed Hope Agenda beyond 2027.

Reading the communiqué, Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State said the governors resolved to campaign for Tinubu’s re-election based on the achievements of the party and the need for policy continuity to sustain ongoing economic reforms.

The first-term governors commended Tinubu’s leadership in addressing national challenges, including fiscal reforms, security improvements, and infrastructure development. They acknowledged the temporary hardships faced by citizens but stressed the long-term benefits of the reforms.

The meeting, hosted by Governor Idris and chaired by Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani, also discussed strategies for strengthening the APC ahead of the 2027 general elections.
