APC TRAINS 1,300 WARD AGENTS FOR E-REGISTRATION IN ENUGU
Ahead of the 2027 general elections, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has trained 1,300 ward agents to support its electronic membership registration exercise in Enugu State.
The State APC E-registration Coordinator, Chief Flavour Eze, disclosed this on Saturday in Enugu while taking journalists on a tour of the four centres where the training sessions were held.
Eze expressed confidence that the party would complete the registration exercise before the January 30, 2026 deadline, noting that the initiative is being carried out under the leadership of the APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda.
According to him, the registration exercise is expected to commence in January 2026, with five agents trained in each of the state’s 260 wards to ensure a smooth and error-free process.
He reminded the trainees of their critical role in strengthening the party’s structure at the grassroots, urging them to fully understand the training in order to effectively deliver on their responsibilities.
“The party wants to avoid mistakes during the registration exercise because errors could create serious challenges. That is why we are ensuring that the process is done correctly, and I am pleased that the agents clearly understood their training,” Eze said.
He added that beyond the ward agents, the party plans to engage canvassers at the village level to mobilize more members and expand the party’s base across the state.
Eze further stated that the Enugu State Governor, Dr. Peter Mbah, is taking the registration exercise seriously and has pledged to provide the necessary logistics to ensure its success.
“People of Enugu should appreciate the administration of Dr. Peter Mbah, as it has introduced several empowerment initiatives and development packages for the benefit of the people,” he added.
