Arsenal are gearing up for a busy week in the transfer market, with the club expected to complete deals for at least three players as Mikel Arteta continues to strengthen his squad ahead of the new season.

The Gunners have already reached an agreement to sign Swedish striker Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting CP. The deal, finalized on Sunday night, is worth an initial £55 million, with potential add-ons of up to £8.6 million. Gyokeres, 27, who previously had a stint with Brighton, has agreed to a five-year contract and is set to undergo his medical this week.

Arsenal aren’t stopping there. They’re also close to wrapping up a deal for Chelsea winger Noni Madueke. The two London clubs have agreed on a package worth £48 million plus an additional £4 million in possible bonuses. Madueke has already completed his medical tests, meaning an official announcement could come any day now.

Meanwhile, talks with Valencia over promising defender Christian Mosquera are progressing well. Arsenal are optimistic of reaching a final agreement soon, with the fee reportedly close to being settled.

With these signings, Arteta is clearly intent on building a side capable of challenging on all fronts next season. Fans will be eager to see how quickly the new faces settle in and what impact they’ll make once the Premier League kicks off.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
