ARSENAL’S ETHAN NWANERI SNUBS CHELSEA & DORTMUND, AGREES NEW FOUR-YEAR DEAL WITH GUNNERS
Arsenal fans can breathe a sigh of relief as promising young midfielder Ethan Nwaneri has committed his future to the club. The 19-year-old has agreed in principle to sign a new four-year contract with the Gunners, putting an end to weeks of speculation about a possible move elsewhere.
Nwaneri, whose talent has been widely admired, was recently linked with Premier League rivals Chelsea and Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund. However, despite the tempting interest from these clubs, staying at Arsenal was always his top priority.
Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano confirmed the development on X (formerly Twitter), saying:
“Arsenal have reached an agreement in principle with Ethan Nwaneri over a new deal! After progress in talks reported last weekend, Nwaneri and his camp have now agreed to sign a new contract at the club. Ethan always gave priority to #AFC despite interest from several clubs.”
Nwaneri, who made headlines in 2022 by becoming the youngest player to appear in a Premier League match at just 15, is considered one of Arsenal’s brightest prospects. This new contract signals the club’s firm belief in his future, and fans will be eager to see him continue to develop and make a bigger impact in the coming seasons.
With this deal close to being finalised, Arsenal can now focus on other transfer business knowing that one of their most exciting young talents remains firmly part of their long-term plans.
