ASISAT OSHOALA SET TO JOIN AL-HILAL FROM BAY FC
Super Falcons star Asisat Oshoala is on the move again—this time to the Saudi Arabian Women’s Football League. The prolific striker is set to join Al-Hilal, leaving American side Bay FC after just seven months.
According to reports from The Athletic, the 30-year-old forward arrived in Riyadh on Monday, where she successfully completed her medicals ahead of the big switch.
Oshoala joined Bay FC in February 2024 after a trophy-laden spell with Barcelona Femeni, where she became one of the most decorated African women footballers. She made her final appearance for Bay FC in their narrow 3-2 defeat to Washington Spirit on Saturday.
Her move to Al-Hilal adds to the growing list of Nigerian stars making waves in the Saudi women’s league, including Ashleigh Plumptre, Francisca Ordega, Rita Chikwelu, and Chinonyerem Macleans.
With her experience, goal-scoring ability, and leadership on the pitch, Oshoala is expected to play a key role in Al-Hilal’s push for domestic and continental dominance.
