ATIKU HAS THE STRONGEST CHANCE OF WINNING 2027 PRESIDENCY – DELE MOMODU
Dele Momodu, a prominent member of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), on Monday expressed confidence that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar could become the “Abraham Lincoln of Nigeria” in 2027, if destiny allows.
Speaking during an X Space session titled “Avrilsspace: The Electoral Mathematics for 2027,” Momodu emphasized that Atiku currently has a strong prospect of winning the presidency.
Atiku’s political journey dates back to 1993, when he stepped aside for MKO Abiola under the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Jos, Plateau State. In the 2023 presidential election, he was defeated by President Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC). As the 2027 elections approach, speculation is mounting that he may once again seek the nation’s highest office.
Momodu remarked: “There is no conflict of interest here. Atiku has been pursuing the presidency since 1993, and if God favors him, he could well become the Abraham Lincoln of Nigeria. I leave that to God.
“I’m not a desperate supporter of any candidate; I consider myself a realist. But I believe he currently stands the best chance. He is in good health, his businesses are thriving, and his family is exemplary.
“His life has been conducted in a simple and principled manner. Despite occasional disagreements with his former boss, Obasanjo, he has never resorted to insults.”
