BABAJIDE EXCITED TO BEGIN NEW JOURNEY WITH AS ROMA
Super Falcons star Rinsola Babajide says she is eager to make her mark at her new club, AS Roma, after sealing a move to the Italian side on Monday.
The 27-year-old winger joined the reigning Serie A champions on a free transfer, signing a contract that will keep her at the club until 2027.
Taking to social media to celebrate the move, Babajide wrote:
“Happy to finally announce that I’ve signed for @ASRomaFemminile. I’m so excited to see what we can achieve together. Back in red and ready for this incredible new chapter.”
Babajide, who has previously played in England and Spain, initially represented England at youth level before switching to play for Nigeria’s Super Falcons.
She is currently on international duty at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, hoping to help Nigeria secure a record-extending title.
AS Roma fans will be eager to see Babajide bring her pace, skill, and experience to the team as they look to build on their domestic success and make a deeper impact in Europe next season.
