BALLON D’OR: NIGERIA’S CHIAMAKA NNADOZIE RANKED 4TH BEST GOALKEEPER IN THE WORLD
Nigeria’s Chiamaka Nnadozie has been ranked the fourth-best goalkeeper in the world at the 2025 Ballon d’Or ceremony in Paris.
The Women’s Yashin Trophy, which honors the best female goalkeeper globally, saw Chelsea and England star Hannah Hampton take the top spot. Gotham FC’s Ann-Katrin Berger came second, while Barcelona’s Cata Coll secured third place. Arsenal’s Daphne van Domselaar rounded out the top five.
Nnadozie, who currently plays for Brighton & Hove Albion in the English Women’s Super League, has been outstanding for both club and country. She played a key role in Nigeria’s triumph at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco and was also a standout performer in Europe.
Before joining Brighton, Nnadozie enjoyed a stellar spell at Paris FC, where she won the 2024 UNFP Goalkeeper of the Season award and lifted the Coupe de France Féminine.
Her recognition among the world’s elite goalkeepers further cements her reputation as one of Africa’s finest players on the global stage.
