BANDITS KILL ONE, KIDNAP TWO IN FRESH PLATEAU ATTACK
Tragedy struck in Plateau State as bandits launched yet another attack in the early hours of Monday, leaving one person dead and two others kidnapped in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area.
Security analyst, Zagazola Makama, reported that the incident happened around 12:15 a.m. when a group of youths was ambushed while heading toward Barkin Ladi town.
During the attack, the armed men opened fire, killing 25-year-old Dayes Alexander. Two others, identified as Palang Daniel (26) and Gabriel Ayuba (25), were whisked away to an unknown location.
Security forces have since been deployed to the area and are currently combing nearby bushes in search of the kidnapped victims.
Meanwhile, the body of the deceased has been handed over to his family for burial after they declined an autopsy.
The latest incident adds to the growing list of attacks by armed groups in Plateau communities, heightening concerns about insecurity in the region.
