Tragedy struck Gidan Taro community in Kwasare Sisawa ward, Wurno Local Government Area of Sokoto State, on Thursday night when armed bandits launched a deadly attack.

According to security analyst Bakatsine, several residents were killed, many injured, and others abducted during the violent raid. Among the dead was Alhaji Bello Gidan Taro, a highly respected community leader known for his influence and contributions to the area.

“Yesterday night, bandits attacked Gidan Taro in Kwasare Sisawa ward, Wurno LGA, Sokoto State, killing several, injuring many, and abducting others. Among those killed was a respected community member, Alh. Bello Gidan Taro,” Bakatsine wrote in a Friday update.

The incident has left the community in deep mourning, while calls for stronger security measures in the region continue to grow.
