BANDITS LEADER REPORTEDLY KILLS 44 SECURITY OPERATIVES, SETS MILITARY VEHICLE ABLAZE IN ZAMFARA
Infamous bandit leader, Bello Turji, has allegedly killed at least 44 security personnel—including 40 members of the Joint Task Force (JTF) and four soldiers—in a deadly ambush near the Shinkafi Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
The incident was disclosed by security analyst Bakatsine in a post shared on X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday.
Bakatsine stated that the assailants also torched a military vehicle during the attack.
“Bello Turji reportedly killed 40 JTF members and four soldiers near Shinkafi LGA, Zamfara State, burning a military vehicle,” the post read.
Turji was also said to have released a video showing the killing of former bandit Bashari Maniya, whom he accused of betraying the gang by collaborating with security agencies after renouncing banditry.
As of the time of this report, official confirmation from the authorities was still pending.
