FC Barcelona coach Hansi Flick has introduced a strict new policy on matchday punctuality, imposing a €40,000 fine on any player who arrives late.
The German manager emphasised discipline and professionalism, signalling zero tolerance for tardiness ahead of games.
As reported by Fabrizio Romano on X, Barcelona forward Ferran Torres confirmed the rule during an appearance on @El_Hormiguero: “Hansi Flick has just changed the rules on arriving late. If it’s matchday and you’re late, you have to pay a €40,000 fine.”
Barcelona currently leads the La Liga table, one point ahead of rivals Real Madrid, following a 3-0 victory over Levante on Sunday.
The hefty fine underscores Flick’s commitment to discipline and respect for team standards, reinforcing the importance of preparation for every match.
