BAYERN PRAISE ‘HUMBLE’ KANE AFTER BALLON D’OR WIN
Bayern Munich assistant coach Aaron Danks has praised Harry Kane following his first Ballon d’Or victory, saying the England captain will quickly turn his attention to scoring again.
The 33-year-old received the award in London on Monday evening, marking a major milestone in his career.
Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday, Danks said the recognition would not change Kane’s attitude or dedication.
He described the striker as humble and professional, adding that his focus would already be on his next goal, performance and match.
Danks is overseeing the team while head coach Vincent Kompany recovers in hospital from a virus.
Reflecting on Kane’s career, he said the forward had performed at an exceptional level long before winning team trophies.
At Tottenham, Kane helped the club reach a Champions League final and played a leading role in England’s runs to two European Championship finals. However, those achievements did not bring the silverware he had hoped for.
Since joining Bayern in 2023, Kane has won two Bundesliga titles and the German Cup. Bayern have also reached the Champions League semi-finals in two of his three seasons at the club.
Danks said the latest honour reflected the quality Kane had shown for years, with trophies now adding to a career already filled with outstanding performances.
