Big Brother Naija Season 10 runner-up, Dede, has finally opened up about her relationship with fellow ex-housemate Kola, clarifying why she cannot pursue a romantic relationship with him despite their closeness in the house.

During the show, Dede and Kola had what many fans described as a “situationship”, with Kola openly expressing his romantic interest in her, even after she revealed she was already in a committed relationship outside the house.

Speaking in a post-show interview with Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Dede admitted that she genuinely likes Kola and holds him in high regard, but said her feelings are not strong enough to take things further.

“I do like Kola but it is not enough for a relationship. I do like him. He is an amazing person. I would always sing his praise regardless of what it is. But it’s not enough for what we thought it is,” she said.

The reality star also confessed that she became bored with the relationship dynamic at some point during their stay in Biggie’s house, hinting that emotional connection and chemistry began to fade.

While some fans had hoped for a post-show romance between the duo, Dede’s statement has seemingly put an end to any such speculation.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
