BBNAIJA’S LIQUOROSE REVEALS HER LONGTIME DREAM OF BECOMING A MUSICIAN
Former Big Brother Naija star Roseline Omokhoa Afije, popularly known as Liquorose, has opened up about a side of her passion many fans may not know — music.
In a recent interview with media personality VJ Adams, the dancer and actress revealed that becoming a musician has always been one of her biggest dreams.
“I’ve Always Loved Music”
Liquorose shared that long before she became a reality TV sensation, she was already working hard to build a music career.
She said:
“I won’t lie, I love music too much. I’ve always wanted to be a musician. I’ve been recording. There was a time when I was always in the studio before I went for the BBNaija show. I was very hungry with music.”
According to her, even though her journey led her into acting and dance, her passion for music has never faded.
Acting Feels Safe, But Music Is Calling
Liquorose explained that she currently feels very grounded in acting, describing it as her “safest place.” She says it’s something she can continue doing well into old age, but the urge to make music remains strong.
She added:
“Acting is like my safest place right now. I’m comfortable, I can act till I’m 70 or 80. But the urge to make music remains strong.”
A Side of Liquorose Fans Haven’t Seen
The BBNaija star revealed that she has a deeper creative side rooted in poetry and writing, which she hopes to channel into her music.
“There’s a side of me people haven’t seen — my music side.
The sound won’t just be for you to dance; it’s going to touch you.
I can do dancehall, I can rap if I want to because I write poems.
I can’t sing like Beyoncé, but I can hold my own.”
Liquorose also disclosed that she now works with songwriters and is slowly but surely preparing to unveil this hidden part of herself.
