Big Brother Naija reality star Queen Mercy Atang has confirmed the end of her one-year marriage.

The single mother of one married David Oyekanmi in March 2024, following a public dispute with her baby daddy, skit maker Lord Lamba. A few months into the marriage, rumors of marital issues surfaced after Mercy unfollowed her husband on Instagram and removed their wedding photos.

At the time, she addressed the speculation, saying, “I was trying to take my marriage off social media and reduce some of the things I put out there.”

In a recent development, Queen Mercy confirmed her separation from David while responding to a fan comment on Instagram.

The fan, @makachrist, asked on a post featuring Mercy from the burial of actress Mercy Aigbe’s mother, “Queen, hope you are still married because asa, you are too beautiful to be single.” The reality star replied simply, “Single and unavailable.”
