BEFORE TINUBU, BEAT WIKE FIRST – OLAYINKA MOCKS AMAECHI’S 2027 DREAM: ‘YOU’VE LOST BEFORE’

Lere Olayinka, Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has ridiculed former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, over his recent claim that he knows how to defeat President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 elections.

Amaechi, during a public discussion on an X Space, had boldly stated that he could unseat Tinubu if he decided to run, claiming he knows the president’s political weaknesses.

But Olayinka wasted no time in firing back. In a post on his official X handle, he mocked Amaechi as a “hungry man” and reminded him of his past political defeats, particularly at the hands of Wike.

“Before talking about removing President Tinubu in 2027, try defeating Wike first. You’ve lost to him before, remember?” Olayinka taunted.

The political rivalry between Amaechi and Wike dates back to their days in Rivers State politics, with both men having clashed in multiple high-stakes battles. Wike, now FCT Minister, has often touted his political victories over Amaechi, while Amaechi has maintained he remains a force to be reckoned with.

With the 2027 presidential election still over two years away, Olayinka’s jab adds yet another layer to Nigeria’s already heated political drama — one where old grudges and personal rivalries are never far from the surface.
