BELLA SHMURDA SAYS HE WOULD HAVE BEEN A PREACHER IF NOT A MUSICIAN
Nigerian afrobeats artist Bella Shmurda has shared that if he hadn’t pursued a career in music, he would have become a preacher or motivational speaker.
The singer of the hit track “Triumphant” expressed his belief that preaching is part of his true calling.
He opened up about this during a recent appearance on the Afrobeats Intelligence podcast, hosted by Joey Akan.
Bella Shmurda stated, “Everyone has a spiritual side; it’s just a matter of discovering it. If I weren’t an artist, I think I would have become a preacher or motivational speaker. That feels like my purpose, and I try to weave that into all my music.
“If music wasn’t my path, I’d be inspiring people in other ways. I have a natural ability to uplift others and reach into their deeper emotions, which I believe is my calling.
“That’s why I’m here, and that essence must be reflected in my songs. It’s an inseparable part of my music.
“When I write, spirituality is essential. Even my voice carries that energy.”
