BENUE KILLINGS A NATIONAL EMERGENCY, MY HEART IS HEAVY – 2FACE IDIBIA
Nigerian music legend and Technical Adviser on Entertainment and Community Outreach to the Benue State Governor, Innocent “2Face” Idibia, has described the ongoing violence in Benue State as a national emergency.
In a heartfelt video message, 2Face expressed deep sorrow and frustration over the recurring attacks in the state, calling for urgent and united action from all stakeholders.
“My heart is heavy. I am deeply saddened and angry. What is happening in Benue State has become a national emergency,” he said. “I’m lost for words. This has to stop.”
He lamented the government’s inability to put a lasting end to the crisis, saying the cycle of violence has continued for far too long without meaningful intervention.
“This is beyond just condemning it in statements. We need real, serious action,” he added. “All stakeholders in Benue must rise above politics and personal interests to work together. I believe a solution is possible.”
2Face urged residents, leaders, and government officials to take a united stand to bring peace to the region.
