BOLA TINUBU CONDOLES KEBBI OVER ATTACK, SPEAKER’S DEATH
President Bola Tinubu has expressed condolences to the people and government of Kebbi State following the killing of 11 security personnel in a bandit attack and the death of the State House of Assembly Speaker, Muhammad Usman-Zuru.
The message was delivered by Vice President Kashim Shettima during a visit to the Government House in Birnin Kebbi, where he described the incidents as “profound and painful.”
Tinubu condemned the attack as a “barbaric act” and praised the fallen security personnel for their courage and sacrifice in the line of duty.
Kebbi State Governor Nasir Idris appreciated the President’s gesture, noting that the visit reflected solidarity with the state during a difficult time.
He revealed that the security personnel were ambushed while responding to a distress call in Shanga Local Government Area.
Also speaking, the Emir of Zuru, Sanusi Mika’ilu, commended the government’s support for victims and affected communities.
Authorities have pledged intensified efforts to tackle insecurity and restore peace across the state.
