BOMBSHELL ALLEGATION: SENATOR NATASHA AKPOTI-UDUAGHAN ACCUSES SENATE PRESIDENT AKPABIO OF HARASSMENT
In a shocking revelation, Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has accused Senate President Godswill Akpabio of inappropriate advances and alleged political victimization for rejecting him.
Speaking on Arise TV’s Morning Show, Akpoti-Uduaghan likened her ordeal to "a student being punished by a lecturer for refusing to sleep with him." She claimed that her troubles with Akpabio began on December 8, 2023, when she and her husband attended the Senate President’s birthday celebration in Akwa Ibom.
During a tour of Akpabio’s home, she alleged that he held her hand in her husband’s presence and suggested she should spend “special moments” with him. She further claimed that her husband, disturbed by the interaction, later warned her never to be alone with the Senate President or travel abroad without company.
Akpoti-Uduaghan also stated that Akpabio implied she would receive special privileges if she "took good care of him," fueling speculation that she has faced political persecution as a result of her refusal.
The allegations have sent shockwaves through Nigeria’s political landscape, sparking widespread reactions and calls for an official response from Akpabio and the Senate.
As the controversy unfolds, all eyes are on the Senate President’s camp for a reaction.
