BREAKING: GOVERNOR FUBARA RETURNS TO PORT HARCOURT AFTER REINSTATEMENT

Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has officially returned to Port Harcourt, the state capital, following his reinstatement by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Fubara touched down at the Port Harcourt International Airport around 11:50 a.m. on Friday, where he was warmly received by a massive crowd of jubilant supporters. Loyalists had already gathered at the VIP wing of the airport earlier in anticipation of his arrival.

This development comes just a day after President Tinubu announced an end to the six-month emergency rule in Rivers State, paving the way for Fubara’s full return to office.

Meanwhile, the Rivers State House of Assembly also resumed sitting on Thursday, signaling a fresh political phase for the oil-rich state. The governor’s return is expected to reshape the political atmosphere and potentially ease months of tension that trailed the state’s leadership crisis.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
