Tension has gripped Plateau State following the abduction of a serving lawmaker.

Gunmen on Monday night kidnapped a member of the Plateau State House of Assembly, who represents Pankshin South Constituency.

The lawmaker was reportedly taken from his residence in the Dong area of Jos North Local Government Area.

According to reports by AIT, the attackers stormed his home and whisked him away to an unknown destination. Security agencies have since been alerted, but details about the lawmaker’s whereabouts remain sketchy.

This latest incident comes amid growing concerns about insecurity in Plateau State, which has witnessed repeated attacks, killings, and abductions in recent months.
