Suspected herdsmen launched a deadly overnight attack on Tse Yange, a predominantly Tiv community in Obi Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, on Sunday.

During the invasion, the assailants reportedly killed the community’s village head and abducted multiple residents.

It was gathered that the gunmen rode into the farming village on motorcycles, spreading fear as they carried out the assault.

The attack, which reportedly lasted into the early hours of Monday, left several people injured and forced many locals to flee their homes.

As of the time of filing this report, the total number of those abducted and injured had yet to be confirmed.
