BURNA BOY SECURES 9TH SNEP PLATINUM CERTIFICATION WITH HIT SINGLE ‘CITY BOY’
Paris, France – May 26, 2025 – Nigerian music icon and Grammy Award winner Burna Boy has once again made history on the international stage. His chart-topping single ‘City Boy’ has been awarded platinum certification by the Syndicat National de l'Édition Phonographique (SNEP), the official body responsible for certifying music sales and streams in France.
The certification, which denotes over 30 million streams in the French market, marks Burna Boy’s ninth platinum plaque in France—extending his record as the most certified Nigerian artist in the country’s history.
‘City Boy’, a standout track from Burna Boy’s critically acclaimed 2023 album “I Told Them...”, has enjoyed massive commercial success, not only in France but globally.
