CHELSEA HIT WITH 74 CHARGES OVER PLAYER TRANSFER DEALS
Premier League side Chelsea FC have been slammed with 74 charges by the Football Association (FA) over alleged breaches of agent regulations.
According to Sky Sports, the investigations focus on transfer dealings involving big-name players such as Eden Hazard, Samuel Eto’o, and Willian.
The FA explained that the charges relate to events that took place between the 2010/11 and 2015/16 seasons, during the ownership of Roman Abramovich. The allegations cover payments to agents and intermediaries, as well as investments linked to third-party ownership of players—a practice banned under football rules.
Interestingly, the breaches were self-reported by Chelsea, who have been cooperating fully with the FA throughout the investigation.
This development adds to the scrutiny the London club has faced in recent years regarding financial fair play and transfer compliance.
For now, the FA is set to review the findings before deciding on possible sanctions, while Chelsea awaits the outcome.
