The Coordinator of the City Boy Movement in Abia State, Don Igbokwe, has said the group is now fully prepared to mobilise support for President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

According to him, the movement has completed its structure across wards, local government areas, and the three senatorial zones of the state.

Speaking in a telephone interview on Wednesday, Igbokwe said the group now has a strong grassroots network capable of influencing voters across Abia.

He described the Abia chapter of the City Boy Movement as one of the most organised pro-Tinubu support groups in the state.

Igbokwe explained that the movement has already inaugurated coordinators, executives, and polling unit teams across the state to strengthen its campaign structure.

He said the group plans to use peaceful and persuasive engagement to encourage, especially young people in Abia, to support Tinubu for a second term.

According to him, another term for the President would allow him to continue projects and development programmes already started in Abia State and the South-East region.

The coordinator listed some achievements of the Tinubu administration, including the establishment of the South East Development Commission and improvements linked to the Enugu Electricity Distribution Company.

He added that if Abians support Tinubu in 2027, the state could enjoy more federal projects, economic opportunities, and youth-focused programmes.

Igbokwe urged residents of the state to join the movement and support what he described as a chance to bring more development to Abia.

As political activities gradually build ahead of the next general election, support groups across different states are beginning to position themselves for the coming campaigns.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
