The CityBoy Movement has distanced itself from a controversial statement circulating online that allegedly involved Seyi Tinubu, describing the comments as false, misleading, and offensive.

In a statement released on Friday, the group clarified that the remarks being attributed to Seyi Tinubu do not represent his views or those of the movement.

The organisation stressed that it strongly condemns any form of blasphemy or inflammatory speech capable of causing religious tension or misunderstanding among Nigerians.

According to the group, the attention of its leadership was drawn to the viral claims, prompting a swift response to set the record straight and prevent further misinformation.

It urged members of the public to disregard the circulating statement, adding that efforts were being made to trace the source of the content responsible for spreading the alleged false narrative.

The CityBoy Movement also reaffirmed its commitment to promoting unity, peace and respectful political engagement, especially among young Nigerians.

It further cautioned against the spread of unverified information on social media, warning that such actions could damage reputations and fuel unnecessary controversy in the public space.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
