Celebrity barman and socialite, Cubana Chief Priest, has revealed one of his deepest regrets — not fulfilling his late mother’s dream of him becoming a Catholic priest.

In an emotional post on Instagram, the nightlife entrepreneur, whose real name is Chibuike Okechukwu, recounted how his mother prayed for years before giving birth to him and promised God that her child would serve in the priesthood.

“Growing up, my mom wanted me to be a Catholic priest so bad because she promised God that her child will serve Him while she searched for the fruit of the womb for over six years,” he wrote.

He explained that his elder brother was named Onyinyechukwu (“Gift from God”), while he was named Chibuike (“God is my strength”) due to the complications surrounding his birth.

Chief Priest admitted he tried to gain admission into the seminary but could not make it through.

“I couldn’t make it to Catholic priesthood because many are called but few are chosen. Next year will make it 10 years I lost my mom, and everyone who knows my story will testify that after my mom made it to heaven, my story changed for good,” he said.

Despite his fame and success, he confessed that he still carries guilt.

“Everyday I live with the guilt that I disappointed my mama by not becoming a Catholic priest. She wanted to be called Mama Father, but rather I became the ChiefPriest.”

However, he noted that he still sees himself as doing God’s work in his own way. He revealed plans to release a Thanksgiving Catholic-inspired song in honor of his late mother.

“I have it all from family to fame, friends, connect, wealth, music etc. Indeed there is joy in my heart & it’s flowing like a river,” he added.

Cubana Chief Priest promised to drop the new song, featuring rapper Zoro and produced by Masterkraft, once he gets 1,000 comments from fans.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
