CYNTHIA MORGAN BREAKS SILENCE, BLASTS PETER OKOYE
Dancehall artist Cynthia Morgan has publicly responded after being mentioned in the ongoing conflict involving the Psquare family.
Taking to her Instagram Story on Thursday, Cynthia expressed displeasure over her name being dragged into the dispute.
Peter Okoye had earlier taken to X (formerly Twitter), claiming that his siblings were attempting to tarnish his reputation. He referenced past situations involving artists, stating, “I am not May D or Cynthia Morgan.”
Cynthia Morgan, however, did not take his comment lightly.
Reacting, she wrote, “I have mixed feelings about my name being brought up like this. I’m not a weak person—some members of your family painted me that way. You too, @peterpsquare, until you realized what they were doing to you. But I listened to you all anyway.”
She urged that the issue be laid to rest, writing, “Make una rest. Jude’s wickedness don reach everybody now. God no dey sleep.”
Morgan also revealed that she had reached out to Peter in 2020, but his response left her disappointed. According to her, he advised against confronting his brother, claiming he was far wealthier and implying that his online support wasn’t genuine.
“He bluntly told me I couldn't go against his brother because his brother had more money. He also said his online support wasn’t because he cared. That meeting broke me, and I chose to move on. But I had no option but to keep calling them out online—till they called me crazy,” she recalled.
The singer concluded by making it clear that she would no longer tolerate the misuse of her name in negative contexts.
