CYRIEL DESSERS WINS RANGERS TOP SCORER AWARD FOR 2024/25 SEASON
Nigeria forward Cyriel Dessers has been named Rangers' top scorer for the 2024/25 season, having netted 24 goals across all competitions. The forward was presented with the prestigious award at the Rangers Player Awards Ceremony held on Sunday night.
The 30-year-old's outstanding contribution to Rangers' attacking line this season has been crucial to the team’s performances. His latest goal came in the club's 2-2 draw against St Mirren last Saturday, adding to his growing tally.
Dessers’ achievement comes after a successful season, highlighting his importance to the squad. Last year, Rangers' captain James Tavernier claimed the top scorer award, but Dessers' consistency in front of goal has now earned him the honor.
It is worth noting that Dessers was also nominated for the Goal of the Season award during the 2023/24 campaign but narrowly missed out to Rabbi Matondo, whose stunning strike in the Old Firm derby against Celtic took home the prize.
As the 2024/25 season draws to a close, Dessers' remarkable performance has solidified his position as one of Rangers' key players and reaffirmed his potential in Scottish football.
