DANGOTE EXPANDS ENERGY FOOTPRINT WITH FUEL STORAGE TERMINAL PLAN IN CAMEROON
Dangote Group is planning to develop a fuel storage terminal in Cameroon as part of efforts to strengthen its presence in the energy sector and expand fuel distribution capacity across the region.
The proposed facility is expected to improve fuel storage infrastructure, enhance supply reliability, and support the movement of petroleum products within Central and West Africa. The project is part of the company’s broader strategy to invest in energy infrastructure and increase its role in the regional downstream oil and gas market.
Industry stakeholders said additional storage capacity could help address supply challenges, reduce distribution bottlenecks, and improve energy security in the region. They noted that strategic investments in petroleum infrastructure are becoming increasingly important as African countries seek more efficient fuel supply systems.
Dangote Group has continued to expand its energy operations, with investments spanning refining, distribution, and related infrastructure.
Analysts believe the Cameroon project could strengthen regional trade links, create economic opportunities, and support the company’s ambition of becoming a major player in Africa’s energy value chain.
