Nigerian Afrobeats superstar, Davido, has pulled out of the upcoming concert at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, where he was slated to perform alongside American icons 50 Cent and Mary J. Blige.

The singer made the announcement via his Instagram story on Saturday, stating that his decision stemmed from unresolved issues with the event organizers, Iconic Presents. According to Davido, the team failed to meet critical standards necessary to maintain the quality and integrity of his performance.

He also hinted at deeper concerns, calling out what he perceived as a lack of respect for African artists in the global entertainment space. “Africa must be respected,” he emphasized.

Despite withdrawing from the July 3, 2025 event in London, Davido assured his fans that he would still deliver a headline show in the city as part of the Europe leg of his 5Alive Tour this summer.

Meanwhile, the concert will proceed as planned without him. It’s worth noting that fellow Nigerian stars Burna Boy and Wizkid have both independently sold out the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the past.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
