In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter) on May 6, the 5IVE hitmaker playfully recalled being personally invited by Ronaldo to watch a Manchester United game at the iconic Old Trafford stadium. The plan? A full evening of football, celebration, and dinner with CR7 himself.

But things didn’t quite go as expected.

According to Davido, what was meant to be a night of fun quickly turned sour after Manchester United suffered a crushing defeat. The mood shifted dramatically, and Ronaldo, visibly upset, reportedly canceled the post-match plans and went straight home.

“He just left us,” Davido said, jokingly implying that even global music stars can’t escape the emotional aftermath of a bad football result.
